LOUGHTON THURSDAYS SEASON REVIEW

WHAT a season at Loughton Thursdays as we had first time winners in both divisions!

In the Prem and a much improved 7UP side proved to be the difference makers as they held 2 time Champions Pink Panthers to a draw in the second from last game which allowed IG10 Boys to jump in front going into the last game of the season!

IG10 Boys then just had to win their last game to guarantee their first ever title! However after a superb Starter Pack win over Pink Panthers this meant IG10 had wrapped the title up before they kicked a ball!

Huge congrats to the new Premiership Champions: Lloyd GULLEFER, Nakhue AZ, Casey LOCKHART, Alfie BINET, Louie COOPER, Louie HERBERT, Archie SHIPP, Teiye RICHARDS, Jacob RICHARDS & Ziad BAKAAR

The Premiership finished very close as 2 points ended up separating the top 3!

In the Championship and You cant handle the Huth finished strongly in their debut season after some dominant displays, only losing once all season meaning the are well deserved Championship Winners!

Well done to all the lads: Finn PICKERING, Peter MOLES, James BELFORD, Luke POWELL, Jessy HELLIS, Antonio VULLO & Volkan AKAR

WANSTEAD MONDAYS – SEASON REVIEW

Another superb season at Eton Manor as we have two new first time champions in each division

In the Premiership and Quarantine Ball had their best season to date as they went down to the final game of the season hoping that three points bagged and a slip up from Bolted Wanderers would mean they take their first ever title in their Premiership return! In the end it wasn’t to be as Bolted Wanderers ended the season unbeaten with a 6-4-0 record to grab their first ever Prem title!

Well deserved as the finally found the consistency which they had missed in previous seasons to go on this strong run, they are now 16 games unbeaten going into the new season!

Massive shout to Quarantine Ball who ran them close and had a superb season, Toulouse orNot Toulouse in their first season in the Prem started off on fire but slipped away over the season as injuries mounted up, Real Brooksis had a tough season, which again due to injuries didn’t help.

Meta FC have done well since joining and are unbeaten, so will be looking to challenge for the title in the new season, while Filthy Fellas battled hard in their first season in a competitive division and represented themselves well, no doubt they will do well in the Championship!

Congratulations to the Premiership Champions – BOLTED WANDERERS: Dylan FAGAN, Alfie McDONALD, Alex DOE, Joe PARROTT, Tom BROWN, Barney KIERAN, Max PAINTER & Frankie LICHERI

In the Championship and Woodford Greeners smashed it this season, losing just once with a record of 9-0-1! Similar to Bolted, these lads found some consistency which had been missing in previous seasons.

Woodford Greeners

In the end it wasn’t a close title race as Woodford finished 9 points clear at the top!

OTF had a mixed season, when on form play some excellent football and will be looking to challenge for the title in the new season!

Hot Steppers have been superb since joining, playing some excellent football! They will also be hoping to challenge for the title in the new season no doubt as they have a talented squad.

PasseyAggressive can be happy with their debut season overall i think, but will be looking to improve on this that’s for sure

VLS are starting to find more consistency now as they have more of the squad back available and can beat anyone on their day

Just Vibes started to find a better balance towards the final weeks of the season and can play some superb football at times, great lads and looking forward to them re-joining the league in the near future

Once again, Congratulations to the Championship Winners – WOODFORD GREENERS: Oliver NADA aka “The Wall” in goal, Harrison NADA, Freddie PALMER, Dom BEALES were solid at the back all season. In midfield and Skipper Beau STRIEBIG, Chris SIBLEY & Zac OVERTON worked hard in the midfield to supply opportunities for the main goal scorers, Max WENZEL, Aidan BUTLER & Harry HUTCHINS

Another enjoyable season at DEBDEN PARK – MONDAYS 30+ League

And congratulations to new champions: VALLEY PARK FC

A brilliantly consistent season as they ended it 7 points clear at the top.

A FIVER SHORT in third, when these boys get their full side out they are unbeatable but a bit of a inconsistent season this time around

DOG HOUSE ROVERS in 5th, only joined last few games so will take them some time to get used to it

LOUGHTON TUESDAYS – SEASON REVIEW

Another exciting season at Loughton Tuesdays particularly in the Championship!

In the Premiership and Jewish Johns Army wrapped up another title in another superbly consistent season as they now move over to Monday nights.

These boys have been dominant but Teddy FC had a late push which ended up just a little too late to catch them but showed they will be contenders in the new season to try and reclaim the title.

Massive congratulations to all the Jewish Johns Army lads

In the Championship and a very competitive season saw plenty of twists and turns!

New boys 45ers were in the driving seat going into the final game of the season but faced a very good Wallads side who needed a victory by a big margin to stop them going up and to take their spot.

Carpenters Arms FC faced bottom side Avondale who can be tough to beat on their day but with Carpenters lethal finishing power they ran out winners meaning all went down to the next game!

Wallads were superb in a tight game winning 3-2 to deny 45ers the title, but not enough to leapfrog them meaning 45ers finished as runners up.

This result in turn meant the new Championship Winners were Carpenters Arms FC for the first time in their history!

Massive congratulations to all the Carpenters Arms lads: Fabian FLANAGAN, Brad HALL, Joe SALMON, Frankie BULLOCK, Max HOCKLEY, Asap LOMENA, Fraser McCARTHY, Zac MORGAN & Remarlo RAPIER

Also a congrats and unlucky to Asad ALI’s 45ers side who were so close and will be looking to compete for the Premiership title now

LOUGHTON THURSDAYS – PINK PANTHERS

The award at Loughton Thursdays goes to Pink Panthers after making it 2 titles in as many seasons, this one in particular was impressive as it was 10 wins out of 10!

B MAGNET in between the sticks, making some top saves and some great distribution, saving Panthers in some big moments this season to keep their record intact

Cane SULLIVAN with an unbelievable left foot and some incredible work rate, his work rate was nearly as good as his jewellery… Mr box to box

Sean O’REGAN… Mr Versatile… He can do it in front of goal and at the back, still wondering whats his weak foot!

Jack SMITH running the middle every game, reminding everyone they need to sign up to Nuffield, he wins his 50s

Will HUDSON… Solid at the back and always there when needed, scored some decent goals this season too

Liam DALY.. Mr passionate, he’ll do anything for the badge, and is still waiting for someone to dribble past him

George MILLER.. The ginger Ozil, his passing is ridiculous, although only covering 0.1KM this season!

Sam MAY… He can do it all, whether you need a goal, or to pocket a pro he’ll do it

Luke DIMOND… “The golden boot” his finishing speaks for itself, give him a yard and he’ll find the corners, some say he lives in the side netting

LOUGHTON THURSDAY – SEASON REVIEW

Another superb season at Loughton Thursdays as Pink Panthers put in a perfect season winning 10/10 with some close games there they did enough to ensure they got the wins to become the first side in the Prem on Thursdays to complete a perfect season.

Bayer Neverlosen finished runners up after another solid season, only losing twice to panthers by the odd goal on each occasion

A relegation dog fight saw 7UP v Woody with the team who loses being relegated, 7UP were victorious in the derby meaning Woody were relegated!

Massive congratulations to the PANTHERS: LUKE DIMOND, CANE SULLIVAN, SEAN O’REGAN, BAYLEY CLARKE, JACK SMITH, WILL HUDSON, LIAM DALY, GEORGE MILLER & SAM MAY

In the Championship and a very entertaining season which saw two teams battle it out over the last few weeks to see who would take the title.

In the end a massive congratulations to MICKS MINIONS who take the silverware and will be playing Premiership football in January for the first time in their history! These lads have been playing a while now and been getting better and better every season which has culminated in the divisional title.

Congratulations to all the lads: TOBY HAMID, DANIEL FAMIGLIETTI, TOM WHELLAMS, TOMMY HARRISON, TRENT CAMPBELL, ALEXANDER DOULOU, HENRY SHARP & SCOTT TYLER

In second place and a massive congratulations also to Jake SUMMUT as his Snorting Lisbon side go up in second place finishing 3 points behind Micks Minions but finishing the season with 62 goals scored! +47GD! Unreal

Updog finished in third and will hope to continue building on that in the new season as they set their sights on promotion no doubt

Looking forward to another good season

LOUGHTON MONDAYS – CHARLTON NON-ATHLETIC

After winning 1-0 on the final game of the season in a winner takes all match it means these lads deserve the shout out

Skipper Joe REYNOLDS with his passion and eye for detail had his side set up perfectly and well organised week in week out, all the while giving 100% with his energetic style of play!

James REFALO was unbelievable in goal throughout the season in which Charlton won every game he played in goal, record speaks for itself as he made world class saves throughout, his brilliant reaction saves meant he achieved 4 clean sheets and only conceded 7 goals in the 9 games he was involved in!

Dylan BRUNS was the bagsman! The hard work in the sticks from REFALO was made worthwhile as BRUNS scored week in week out to turn those clean sheets into 3 points a pop

Joshua BEECHAM was an absolute rock at the back throughout the season, wouldn’t of been able to win the league without his strength and tackling. Josh also popped up with a last second winner to gibe Charlton the three points in a 4-3 win over Kalou.

Jamie ODOKI with his engine, showed great versatility to be able to play as a defender and CM when needed. Very positive attitude and extremely high work rate.

Cameron COOTE was another example of a great engine. Cam got up and down the pitch throughout the season and was able to do a great job playing CM proving to play a vital role

Luke HILL couldnt always make the late games which was frustrating but when he played they had not only a great defender but a leader with a very loud voice and kept his team in check and organsied

Sam BEAMAN, the big man showed his super strength which allowed him to dominate the space when attacking and when he got the ball wide right you just knew what was coming next

Aodan DOWNER was pivotal, the title would not of been possible without the great individual footballing ability of Aodan. The ball stuck to his feet like glue, he has great composure and really ran the show in the middle of the park, not to mention a superb late header directly from a corner to win one of the massive games against Essex Elite

Honorary mention to James CROWE as well who filled in when REFALO couldn’t make it and was immense making some vital saves
