Team of the Week

3 Wings for a pound

merry christmas and happy new year

First game of the season in what proved tricky conditions, however 3 wings put in an excellent performance against highly fancied new boys MNF.

Skipper Eral CHOLI was in goal for this one and made some good saves.

Sonny JAMES and Josh WINTLE both put in a shift, Jack BELL scored one and Albert HELLEN got two with a couple of pinpoint shots.

But the star of the show tonight without a doubt was Harry PARSONS, who scored 5!

What a performance from the wings, who have now put a marker down for this season after this result

Team of the Week

The Snow

merry christmas and happy new year

This weeks award goes to The Snow!

It put in a worldy of a performance and showed its class with a constant onslaught ensuring no play went ahead today at TFM.

This weeks fixtures will now roll over to next week, last week before the Christmas and New Years break

Team of the Week

AFC Cardinals

AFC Cardinals take the award this week at Chigwell after a superb performance and after VP slipped up in the later game meant they snatched the title on the last game of the season.

Another great season in the Championship with 3 teams all in with a chance of winning the title.

However after a strong season AFC Cardinals are back to the top flight with Valley Park FC finishing runners up, going up on goal difference.

Cardinals put in a champions performance tonight winning 5-1, with Tom LYALL getting a brace, Skipper Neil DIXON getting on the scoresheet with a trademark finish after brother Mark DIXON missed an open goal.

James LADLOW grabbed the other two with a couple of neat finishes.

Well done to all the Cardinals lads, Neil DIXON, Mark DIXON, Tom LYALL, Andrew JONES, James LADLOW, Tim DYE, Matthew HULL, Pete FAWCETT, &  Neil TURNER

Team of the Week

The Warren

The award this week at TFM Loughton goes to The Warren who were superb in their game tonight.

It was a brilliant game of football for the neutral to watch and you could see how much both teams wanted this one, good friendly but competitive game which looked like The Warren were in cruise control when 4-0 up, however The Wheelers didn’t give up and pulled it back to 4-3 only for The Warren to kick it up a gear again to wrap it up 6-4.

Jed EVA had a blinder tonight banging home a hat trick, meanwhile George TYLER, George MAC and Sam SMITH all got one each.

Team of the Week

Cheeseboard

The award this week at Loughton goes to Cheeseboard who have started the season excellently and got another win tonight in what was an end to end game.

Skipper George POINTON & Dan LINNEY banged in two goals each with Ed BASSETT getting one.

But the real stand out was Mike GUTHRIE who also got on the score sheet himself, but his all round general play  was superb and he kept his side ticking which sees him take the Man of the match award for this week.

Team of the Week

The Fosters (Lost Men)

The award at Chigwell goes to Lost Men who have had an excellent season and put in another superb performance tonight to wrap up the title with a game to spare and remain unbeaten.

This is now the third season in a row that Lost Men have won it and are going after the TFM record of 6 title wins in a row.

Tonight an injured Joe HINDMARSH made some good saves and was unlucky not to keep a clean sheet, Macaulay FELTHAM & Dan KENT was solid at the back as usual.

Albert HELLEN grabbed a brace and Sonny BALDWIN got one, but the stars of the show tonight were the FOSTER brothers who both banged in a hat trick.

Ciaron FOSTER & Liam FOSTER scored with some excellent strikes between them and became the first brothers to score a hat trick in the same game in TFM history as far as we can recall.

Fully deserves the shout out this week.

Well done to the rest of the lads who played key roles in the title winning campaign

Callum BRAZIER, Tony AKBARI, Sam GOODING, Dan KELNER & Mike DIEBELIUS

Team of the Week

Inter Bread & Joe Hindmarsh

The award at Chigwell goes to a team and an individual.

First up Inter Bread who have been on a bad run recently but plugged away and got the win tonight.
Goals from Reiss TISSON and Nick MASSA secured the win meanwhile Bill “Evergreen” HAMMOND made a string of very good saves and deserves a shout out for his clean sheet.

Take nothing away from the rest of the lads as it was a very good team performance from Inter.

Next up and an individual shout to Joe HINDMARSH who hasn’t played in goal in over two months, and gets a clean sheet while making some superb saves throughout.

Team of the Week

Joe Lovell (Old Bucks), John Wheeler (Debden Vets) & Will Osmond (Chigwell Rovers)

The Loughton award this week is shared between three individuals who put in a performance each which we could not separate.

So first off we have Joe LOVELL who tore his opposition apart smashing in 9 goals in the cup game!
That’s a new TFM record of most goals scored in a match by one player! So well done and congratulations to Joe LOVELL!

Next up John WHEELER. The Debden Vets keeper made save after save and done excellently to only concede one on the night.
Fully deserves recognition after his performance in between the sticks tonight.

Last but not least is Will OSMOND who banged in all 4 of his sides goals to get the win for his side, they played well throughout and considering they only had 5 players the team pulled together well and OSMOND used his pace to his advantage on the counter attack, bursting forward and smashing home some pinpoint strikes.

Team of the Week

Valley Park FC

The award for Mondays at Chigwell goes to Valley Park who put in another great performance to ensure they are still top of the Championship on goal difference.

As always it was a very good team display and Captain Peter TURNER got his tactics spot on.
James FOGARTY found his scoring boots and smashed in a couple for his side, Adam FRIEND, Chris TURNER, Elliott RAMSDEN all got one each and Tommy TAYLOR on his return after 10 weeks out injured smashed one in as well.

Well played to VPFC who are going into the final few weeks in prime position
