Media 10

MEDIA 10 became the winners of Loughton Monday’s Championship thanks to a brave and deserved 2-0 victory against Bayernneverlusen, in a league that could have been won by three possible teams on the very last game of the season.

It has been a competitive league and MEDIA 10 have earned themselves a reputation for being well organised and tough to break down in defence, yet skilful and ruthless in attack.

A never say die attitude is evident in every player and this has been proven with some consistent performances and results throughout the season. With so many teams often losing their heads when things don’t go their way, MEDIA 10 support each other and play their way back into games. The fact that they have won the league this season is a testament to how hard they have all worked, how they have improved over the last 12 months, and proves how a positive team spirit can overcome anything that life throws at you.

Well done to all involved and for a popular Championship victory that has impressed the Loughton football community. Keep up the good work and enjoy the Premiership!

It was a great game for the neutral and didn’t disappoint but Diors superiority showed in the end with Howard AJOODHA smashing in a hat trick and Kurt FREENEY  getting 2 while Nick DAINTON got the other.

Diors have been back to their ruthless best this season in what was another very competitive season in the Premiership.

These Lads have been going from strength to strength in recent weeks and no doubt will be challenging for the title next season if this form is anything to go by.

Tonight they ended Real Sosobad’s dreams of a first Premiership title while also giving them their first defeat of a season after 12 games unbeaten!

The award this Tuesday at Loughton goes to Club Sandwich who got a huge 3 points tonight which pulled them from 4th to 2nd in the table with 2 games remaining!

This now means The Club are a point behind the league leaders and if they manage to pull off a big win next week with the league leaders also winning it will go into the last game of the season with a winner takes all game.

Club Sandwich made this 3 wins in their last 3 and tonight it was Richard JONES in particular who was superb smashing in a hat trick with some stunning strikes.

Will CROSS got 2 while Andy BROWN got 1 to complete the scoring.

Team of the Week

Kurt FREENEY (Diors)

The award on the last Monday at Loughton before the Christmas and New year break goes to Diors and in particular Kurt FREENEY.

This was a great game of football between two good sides that was only ever going to be separated by moments of brilliance. And Diors had that in their ranks tonight as Kurt FREENEY smashed home a hat trick in his teams 3-1 win!

His first goal was caught on video and was a superb strike from a tight angle into the bottom corner.
His second was an absolute ping and he soon completed his hat trick and ensured his side got a massive 3 points as they move 1 win away from recapturing the Premiership title but an absolutely massive game against the current champions “Debden Vets” awaits them in the new year.

Eric THISTLE made some superb saves in the Diors goal tonight
