TEAM OF THE WEEK

Team of the Week

Queens Head Ultras

The award at Waltham Abbey Thursdays goes to Queens Head Ultras who made it 2 wins out of 2 as they stay top of the Premiership.

Jackie LANGARD & Will FLYNN scored one each with a couple of decent strikes.

Luke HARRIS was a constant threat up top as he created chances for his side.

Ben WREFORD was solid in the middle and CAIRO didn’t let anything go past him as usual

But the MOTM has to go to the skipper – Leighton HUGHES-FRANKLIN who scored himself, got 2 assists and a clean sheet for the time he was in goal! What a performance!

Team of the Week

Joga Bonito

The award this Thursday at Loughton goes to Joga Bonito who keep up with the top two after this performance and win tonight against a good side.

Skipper Jake CUTHBERT & George HOY with the goals.

CUTHBERT’s was a weak foot volley into the bottom left corner.

HOY’s was a lovely counter attack from the edge of their own box which he then ran onto the ball and finished with a nice toe punt around the keeper. Luke THOMAS-CORRIDON with the assist.

Clean sheet from Kai ANDERSON who is getting better and better every week.

Jacob WHITTAKER-MALM was solid defensively with Liam COCHRANE mopping up at the back on many occasions.

Injured manager Alfie MAPP came over to support the lads and shared his many words of wisdom during the game.

Team of the Week

AFC Cardinals

The award at Debden Park Mondays goes to AFC Cardinals who put in a 12 goal performance this week.
Cardinals have a keeper for each half and this week both scored the half they were outfield!
Neil DIXON was superb, neat passing array was on show tonight while he also bagged himself a goal.
Mark DIXON smashed home two, his first was akin to the famous Carlos Alberto goal, driven low into the bottom far corner after a neat counter and pass from his baby brother.
Matthew HULL scored a stupendous scoop over the on rushing keeper.
Andrew JONES is a well travelled man and it showed on the pitch as he was everywhere while also grabbing a couple of goals himself.
James LADLOW is a 6 a side assassin, loves a goal and tonight he got a brace!
Tom LYALL was a menace as always and worked tirelessly for his team and scored 4 goals with some very nice finishes.
And last but by no means least – Tim DYE.  Although Tim didn’t score he can be happy with his contribution as he got at least 6 assists one of which included a scintillating back heel.
A brilliant performance by Cardinals as they keep their names in the mix for the title.
Oh and HULL got lobbed from kick off from a great effort from Graham BELL

Team of the Week

Theydon FC

The award this week at Loughton Tuesdays goes to Theydon FC who put in a superb performance jumping from the relegation zone to 3rd!

Skipper Albert HELLEN scored and was a constant threat as always as was Nick who also scored.
Albert CONNOLLY put in a shift while Steve CARTER made some great saves.

But the MOTM and stand out was Chris WALLING who was superb, scored once and kept his side ticking throughout

Team of the Week

Hit & Miss

The award this Monday at Loughton goes to Hit & Miss who were superb tonight as they beat the league leaders getting a massive three points to keep in sight with the leading pack.

Skipper Ben LOCKSTONE pulled the strings in midfield with a hat trick worth of assists,  while Charlie AYERS & George AYERS both got a goal each.

Ryan WHITEHEAD jumped in goal to provide emergency GK cover and made some great saves while from defence Archie SHIPP was solid and smashed home a hat trick with some great strikes

But tonight’s MOTM goes to Toby EATON who was a constant menace up top and got on the scoresheet himself while grabbing a couple of assists.

Well played to the lads

Team of the Week

Harry Parsons (Stranger Wings)

The award this Thursday goes to an individual who puts a shift in everytime he plays for his side and tonight was no different as they ground out a point in a good game of football.

Harry PARSONS was superb throughout with this being his last appearance for the club due to him moving onto pastures new.

PARSONS has been a superb servant for his teams and has amassed over 50 appearances for 3 WINGS on Mondays and STRANGER WINGS over the past few years.

We wish Harry all the best and hopefully see you at one of the leagues again soon

Team of the Week

Mr Blobby FC

The award at Loughton Monday’s goes to Mr Blobby FC who put in a superb performance tonight.
Skipper Will COWELL made it 7 goals in 3 games!  COWELL started things off by pounced on a loose pass in the first 5 to get an early lead and then sat in and defended like a unit.

Jonny KELLY in net was completely ridiculous. A savage in the sticks. Save after save throughout the game. Unbeatable. We scored a second through a nicely worked move with Jake CUTHBERT sitting a player on his arse with a turn on a sixpence and claiming an assist for a well finished shot under the keeper from COWELL.
Jake WIGLEY and Jarod ‘The Boston Bandit’ continued to solidify at the back. Warriors.
Alex THOMAS was dominant in the centre of the park putting in a gritty display. In the dying minutes a rare cameo outfield from James REFALO who received the ball from JK in net and sprinted the length of the pitch like a gazelle on heat to lay the last goal on a plate to complete COWELL’s hat trick and leave top of the league stunned in the wake of a spectacular rearguard win. The opposition managed to beat JK in the dying embers of the game via a cruel deflection to make it 3-1.

Unusually even though Will COWELL got a hat trick the lads all agreed JK was the standout MOTM with a physics-bending performance in net, well played Jonny KELLY 👏

Well played to all the lads in a superb game of football.

Team of the Week

Jewish Johns Army

The award at Loughton Tuesdays goes to Jewish John’s Army who put in a massive performance tonight grabbing the win which now puts them 6 points clear at the top of the Premiership.

Skipper Daniel PARRATT played well, as did Max HOCKLEY, Lewis SCARFE & Frankie BULLOCK.

Jack GOODCHILD in goal made some great saves while the stand outs tonight were brothers in arms, Logan SIMMONDS who got one and the MOTM Ellis SIMMONDS who smashed home 4 with some belters!

4 points from 3 games will see these lads secure back to back titles

Team of the Week

Valley Park FC

The award this Monday at Debden Park goes to new leaders – Valley Park FC.

VPFC won in a tightly contested game against Forest which they ended up winning 4-3 to get the all important three points.

Peter TURNER set his side up perfectly, Chris TURNER smashed home two goals, while Oliver WALTERS & Jermaine GRAVER got one each.

Graham BELL made a string of fine saves while Elliott RAMSDEN finally made his first appearance of the season along with Scott WHITE who both put in energetic performances as their side go top of the table.

Well played to all the lads

Team of the Week

Unathletic Madrid

The award at Waltham Abbey Thursdays goes to Unathletic Madrid who were superb tonight winning 7-1!

Bobby HOY and Harry BULLOCK with 2 goals each, a goal for Aaron RICH & Ben TURNER and the standout goal on the whole night from Jack MARRION who lobbed the keeper from his own area with a ridiculous strike! Gutted we didn’t get that one on film!

The GK was skipper Tommy DALTREY making a number of acrobatic and cat like saves, while the stand out player was Travis FOWLER who was like a young west ham version of N’Golo Kante!

Well played to all the lads as it was a quality team performance tonight
