Team of the Week

Loughton Mondays – Lads Youth, Santan & Diors

We have NEWLY CROWNED PREM CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to Lads Youth who drew 1-1 against Diors to win the Premiership title for the first time in their history!

Huge congratulations to Lads Youth: Sam BARRETT, Harry BARRETT, Max JESSOP, Will PAVELEY, Josh STEELE, George PIGRAM, Noah FRIEND, Ben HARRIS, Ben BROOKES, George JOHNSON & Ryan WHITEHEAD.

In a division which is one of the best standard 6 a side football leagues around (modest we know), winning the Premiership title is no easy feat. As an example Lads Youth are only the 4th team to have won this.

Old Bucks, Debden Vets (3), Diors (2)

Its a difficult title to win so well done to these Lads who dethroned Diors to start off what they hope will be their own legacy under the new branding of Theydon Green 6s.

We would like to say a massive thank you to the mighty Diors who have decided to call it a day as they have struggled to get a regular side out for a while now.

Its testament to how good a team they were that they had a different side out, often the bare 6 each week this season and still were challenging for the title until the last game. Hope to see them reform in the future and thanks for the memories.

In the Championship and first game of the night was a title decider too, Santan v United, with both teams already promoted it was all about who would win the silverware with Santan FC in the driving seat.

In a tight game, it ended 1-1 meaning Santan return to the top flight as Champions! Congratulations to the Tans for capturing the title.

George GREEN, George MOORE, Callie CONNELLY, Luke BENNETT, Charlie WEBB, Sam SNELL, Cameron PERRYER, Brandon BYRNE & Tom PAPS
