TEAM OF THE WEEK

Team of the Week

Neil Dixon (Mad Mark)

A great game to end Super Sundays on tonight in a cracking 3-3 draw between Mad Mark and Notinherforest.

Mad Mark have had a great season in regaining their title and tonight after a tough start they came back from 2-0 down to 3-2 up before Notinherforest grabbed a late equaliser which they rightly deserved, but the shout out goes to Neil DIXON who scored a hat trick even though he started the game in goal, with some superb finishes and excellent work rate throughout!

Well done to all the Mad Mark lads, Mark DIXON, Neil DIXON, Nick MASSA, Bobby BRINKLEY, Paul ROGERS, Reiss TISSON & Jack ROBERTSON

Unlucky to Runners up Green FC in their first season finishing as runners up with Notinherforest a very close third.

Team of the Week

Stuart Box

The award this week goes to Stuart BOX who scored both his teams goals tonight as well as being solid at the back as always!
The goals were particularly important as it helped Valley capitalize on JOHN’s win against Buckhurst Hill which means that next week will be a straight shoot out for the title and promotion!
And Buckhurst Hill Overs could still nick the title if that game ends a draw which leaves it all still to play for going into the penultimate week of the season.

Back onto BOXY’s performance as he continued his form into the Forest game and banged in 4 of their goals.
6 goals in 2 games for the ever reliant BOX!

Valley will be hoping for a big performance from him next week, but take nothing away from the rest of the Valley lads who were excellent tonight.

Team of the Week

Lost Men

The award this week goes to Lost Men who officially wrapped up the title tonight.

This team is on fire and made it 8 in 8 to keep up their 100% record. Can they finish the season with 10 out of 10? Only been done by two teams before in TFM history.

Tonight was always going to be a difficult game against Bayer in the local derby and it didn’t disappoint.

Sam GOODING kept Lost Men in the game at points early on and made some outstanding saves, Ryan FRANKLIN goal poacher of the season was on the score sheet again and Dan KENT “The Debden Mourinho” kept his side organising with his management skills getting them the win again.

On the night Sonny BALDWIN with one and Ryan FRANKLIN with a brace secured the points.

But well done to all the Lost Men: Dan KENT, Callum BRAZIER, Macaulay FELTHAM, Joe HINDMARSH, Joe MASSINGHAM, Sonny BALDWIN, Jamie RAYMOND, Ciaron FOSTER, Mike DIEBELIUS, Ryan FRANKLIN and Tony AKBARI

Team of the Week

Gardeners Arms FC

The award on Super Sundays return goes to Gardeners Arms FC who were solid as always and played some good football but got caught on the counter at times by their opposition and found themselves 1-0 down with 5 minutes to go.

With stand in Mark DIXON making some great saves and James DAWKINS and Bob NORTH solid at the back it ensured they didn’t concede any more and equalised with a rocket from Will BEAK.

With only a few minutes to go they nicked the win with a quick fire strike from skipper Paddy SHEEHY and took all three points.

Gareth KEENAN was quality throughout as well!

Team of the Week

AFC Cardinals

MNF @ TFM returned and Cardinals looked revitalised as they played superb tonight, Mark DIXON in goal making some great saves meanwhile Skipper Neil DIXON was pulling the strings outfield with two assists!

The whole team was superb and Andrew JONES scored with a fine strike, all the more impressive considering he had no boot on after it flew off.

Pete FAWCETT got himself about as always and worked hard for the team, so to did James LADLOW meanwhile the return of Tom LYALL was massive as he scored the winner on his first game after two months out, and it was with a powerful bullet strike which nutmegged the keeper!

A big win for Cardinals tonight

Team of the Week

Pop City & Joel Sapiro (Buckhurst Hill Over 21s)

The award this week goes to Pop City who put in a very good performance against a good Bayer side.

Gio CATTINI made a string of good saves to keep a well deserved clean sheet!
Chris “The Conductor” WALLING got a hat trick with some great strikes and Danny MARTIN scored the other one for his side. Jack ROBERTSON and Ollie JONES-CHAPMAN was solid and Josh TAYLOR put in a shift.

Buckhurst Hills Joel SAPIRO deserves a shout out too as he scored with a couple of absolute scorchers, was gutted to have not got them recorded as they deserved it

Team of the Week

Lost Men

The award this week goes to Premiership champions and current leaders Lost Men.

At the halfway point of the season and the question is who will stop them? Still a way to go yet though.

Lost Men put in an impressive performance again tonight with Ryan FRANKLIN in particular impressing banging home 4 of his sides goals! Skipper Callum BRAZIER popped in two while Sonny BALDWIN and Chairmen, Macaulay FELTHAM scored one each. Joe HINDMARSH in goal made some good saves

Team of the Week

Nicholas Massa & Matt Wust (Notinherforest) & Jonny Kelly (Blobby FC)

The award on this Super Sunday looked like it belonged to Jonny KELLY after his heroics in Blobbys 1-0 win in the earlier kick off. KELLY kept a clean sheet and was the reason his side held out for the victory. So fully deserves the mention, however in the game after and after going 1-0 down and missing some of their key players Matt WUST’s Notinherforest side come back by playing some excellent football. Mark DIXON was solid at the back while Matt WUST was equally as good as KELLY’s performance making a string of world class saves.

Meanwhile at the other end Nick MASSA sporting his new POW boots certainly put in a POW performance with a perfect hat trick – One with his left, one on his right and a neatly flicked on header which looped over the keeper.

Some fantastic games on show tonight!

Team of the Week

Buckhurst Hill Over 21st & Valley Park FC

The award this week is shared between two very good performances.

First off Craig SHERRIN’s Buckhurst Hill was in a rampant mood as they won 8-0 tonight!

They absolutely swept a good Inter side away with some fluid attacks, neat pass and move and ultimately Inter just couldn’t cope and put their heads down to quickly.

The all important goals coming from Paul and Joel SAPIRO getting a brace each, Dan hitting 3, and Jake CUTHBERT with one although it could possibly be classed as an own goal as it came off the keeper!

Next up Valley Park, Valley needed this as the last few performances have not been up to their usual standard, but tonight they got some points on the board and looked impressive.

Elliott RAMSDEN, Stuart BOX, Skipper Peter TURNER and a 20 yard rocket into the top bins from Carlton CHAMBERS got the all important 3 points, however it was Valleys best performance of the season so far, solid display.

Team of the Week

Jack Robertson, Neil Dixon & Bayer Neverlosen

A few mentions this week as they all deserve it.
First up a shout to Neil DIXON who scored two goals in a minute to give his side a fighting chance.
They ended up losing the game but DIXON was on fire and his shooting accuracy has been improving week on week which was demonstrated tonight with two sweet strikes

Inter Bread pulled off somewhat of a shock win as they beat Valley Park tonight.
With Jonny HOPWOOD in goal making some good saves, the star of the show was Jack ROBERSTON!
ROBERTSON has been getting better and better recently and demonstrated this by smashing home a hat trick with some great efforts, the first hat trick Jacko has ever scored at TFM so fully deserves the shout out, the other goal for his side coming from Luke PETRIE.

Last but not least, Bayer Neverlosen.
Skipper Joe HINDMARSH set his side up well tonight as they were playing against a strong Los Pollos side.
While the skipper gained a couple of assists, Luke O’REILLY made some great saves and Jack BELL got a hat trick as Bayer got the win which they fully deserved after this performance tonight!
